TOURNAMENT INFO
CFC invites you to participate in our 2021 CFC Cup and College Showcase Tournament to be held on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20. This tournament will include Premier and Select level teams for boys and girls U9 – U18. The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) have sanctioned this tournament.
An excellent opportunity for high school aged players looking to continue playing at the college level to get recruited by top NCAA Division I, II, III; NAIA and junior college programs. Featuring some of the top ECNL, NPL and Premier clubs in Region 1. U15 - U18 girls and boys. The CFC Cup is for top U11 - U14 teams boys and girls.

Each team entering the tournament must be currently registered with their State, National Association or any other US Soccer affiliated club. Maximum roster size will be twenty-two (22) which may include up to eight (8) guest players. All U11 and U12 teams will have a roster of 16 with 9 players on the field. No roster changes are permitted once the tournament has started. Teams from outside Region I and New Jersey must have an authorized copy of the USYSA Permission to Travel Form at registration.

How to Pre-Register
Please note the following 2 ways for registration:
1. You can pre-register online which will go Live a week or two before the event (TBA)
2. You can check in 1 hour prior to kickoff at the location of your first game on Saturday (7:30am games please check in at 7am). Each location will have a registration tent to check in at.
Teams must have the following :
- Copy of your Certified roster - we keep the copy of the roster if you check in at the field
- Players Passes (or equivalent proof of eligibility to compete as duly registered player). No player may compete or be listed on more than one team roster per division. For insurance purposes, every player must have a player pass
- Medical Release forms for all your players which you will keep. (your club medical waiver is acceptable) No specific CFC waiver needed
Guest players need to be added to the roster and must have a pass and a medical form.

College Recruiting
A few helpful tips for players and parents:
4 weeks prior to tournament – players make a list of the college coaches they want to email, gather coach’s names and email addresses, draft up the emails
3 weeks prior to tournament – players send their first email to all the coaches with their game schedule
5 days prior to tournament – send coaches a reminder email with confirmed details
What does a coach look for in the email?
Player’s name, team, position, club team name, tournament schedule, field # you’re playing on, shirt number, uniform color, soccer profile w/ link to their video, current club and high school coach’s names and contact information, your graduation year

Second Tie Breaker – Goal Differential (Plus 5 Max per game)
Third Tie Breaker – Goals For (5 max per game)
Fourth Tie Breaker – Goals Against (fewest)
Fifth Tie Breaker – Most Shutouts
Sixth Tie Breaker – Penalty Shootout
Forfeit = 3-0 win
